How do I get admitted into your treatment programs?
At Beach House, admission to our drug and alcohol treatment programs begins with a simple phone call. In the course of that brief consultation, one of our admissions counselors will assist you with questions about costs of treatment, insurance benefits and payment options. They’ll be able to help you determine a plan of care that’s both affordable and meets your unique treatment needs.
How quickly can I get into your treatment programs?
Same day admissions are available. Our admissions process usually can accommodate admissions as quickly as within the first 24 hours following your initial phone consultation with one of our caring admissions counselors. There are rare exceptions to this general rule, such as times when we may have exceptionally limited bed availability or when special circumstances pertaining to your situation may prevent us from doing so.
What airports are closest to your facility?
Our rehab facility is within convenient driving distance from three major airports: Palm Beach International (PBI), Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLI) and Miami International Airport (MIA), the closest of these being PBI.
How do I get from the airport to your rehab center?
Whatever airport you fly into (be it PBI, FLI or MIA), one of our trusted staff members will be there to welcome you and transport you to our rehab facility. This service is a courtesy we offer clients. All we’ll need is your itinerary.
Am I allowed to be in touch with family members and loved ones after arrival at Beach House and during my stay?
Yes. When you arrive at our facility, one of our staff will assist you in making a call to whomever you’d like, so that you can assure them you have arrived here safely. During your stay, you will also be able to communicate regularly with loved ones by phone, and, upon request, via supervised videoconference sessions.
What are my responsibilities during inpatient rehab? (Do I have to make my bed, do laundry, prepare my meals, etc.?)
At Beach House we prefer that clients focus on their recovery process rather than routine chores. However, clients are responsible for keeping their rooms tidy on a daily basis. They are also expected to be respectful towards other members of the Beach House family (other clients and our staff) and responsible participants in our therapeutic community.
Should I bring my medication(s) to treatment?
Yes. Please bring any medications you are currently prescribed — in their original prescription bottle.
What should I pack?
We want your recovery experience to be comfortable. The below checklist details what you should bring, and if you have additional questions, one of our admissions counselors can help:
- Season-appropriate, casual and recreation/work-out clothes
- Personal hygiene items
- Petty cash for small expenses
- Your medications
- Photo ID
What forms of payment do you accept?
Beach House accepts all major credit cards, certified or cashier’s checks, wire transfers, and cash. If your credit card is linked to your bank account, your bank may have a daily limit imposed. You can have this temporarily lifted by contacting your bank. If payment is by wire transfer, the funds must be received prior to admission. Funds may take several days to transfer.
What do I stand to gain from an inpatient rehab program?
Residential treatment at our center will give you the space and time you need to focus on your personal issues and on getting better, without all of the distractions common to daily life. This full-immersion recovery experience is a gift and luxury for many of our clients: it allows them to retreat from the pressures of their world in order to get to the root of their substance abuse, restructure their life, and develop healthy, life-giving connections with themselves, with others and with their Higher Power. The length of inpatient treatment (30 days) also gives clients a chance not just to learn new coping skills and self-care strategies but to practice them regularly also, within the safety of a caring community guided by highly trained therapists who can offer tips and observations that foster clients’ growth. What do I do about my job while in treatment?
Beach House will support you regardless of your professional circumstances. While you’re in treatment, we will do whatever we can to encourage your professional success and maintain good standing with your employer. We’ll also help you make the transition back to your work environment.
How do I know my treatment at Beach House will be kept confidential?
Your privacy is of utmost importance to us, and we value it before, during and after your stay with us. All information you provide us is CONFIDENTIAL and qualifies as private, health-related information protected by law. We therefore take our pledge to honor your privacy very seriously.
Will I have my own room?
The beautiful residence buildings on the Beach House campus offer semi-private rooms. Our experience and outcomes-based research demonstrate that clients have a fuller, richer experience when they live with a roommate. In some cases, a private room may be available based on clinical needs and the current number of residents.
